Temporal lifting is a surgical procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the temples and eyebrows. This operation has gained worldwide fame as “Bella Hadid’s fox eyes” and has become one of the most popular among our patients.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes small incisions in the hairy part of the head near the temples. Through these incisions, the skin and soft tissues are lifted, resulting in the tips of the eyebrows and eyes being raised upwards, giving the face a cunning expression.
The results of temporal lifting can last many years, but it is necessary to consider that the natural aging process continues, and over time, repeat procedures may be required.
This procedure is suitable for those who want to reduce the visible signs of aging in the temple and eyebrow area and also wish to improve the overall contour and symmetry of the face.
Often, temporal lifting is combined with other procedures, such as canthoplasty or thread lifting of the face.

Why patients consider temporal lifting
Patients may consider temporal lifting for several reasons:
-
Reduction of visible aging signs: With age, the skin loses its elasticity, and wrinkles and sagging can appear around the eyes and eyebrows. Temporal lifting helps eliminate these signs, returning a younger and fresher facial appearance.
-
Correction of drooping eyebrow tips: With age, eyebrows can droop, creating a tired and sad look. Temporal lifting can raise the corners, giving the face a younger and more attractive expression.
-
Improvement of facial symmetry: Uneven drooping of tissues can lead to facial asymmetry. Temporal lifting helps restore balance and symmetry, making the overall facial appearance more harmonious.
-
Boosting confidence: Dissatisfaction with one’s appearance can negatively affect self-esteem. Temporal lifting can help patients feel more confident and comfortable in their bodies.
-
Comprehensive appearance correction: Temporal lifting is often combined with other procedures, such as rhinoplasty or blepharoplasty, for a more noticeable effect.
Candidates for surgery
Temporal lifting is suitable for candidates who meet the following criteria:
-
Age-related signs in the temples and eyebrows: Candidates with noticeable drooping of the eyebrows and wrinkles around the eyes often consider temporal lifting as a way to restore a younger and fresher look.
-
Good overall health: Patients should be in good physical health, without serious illnesses or medical conditions that could increase the risk of complications during and after the procedure.
-
Realistic expectations: It is important for candidates to have realistic expectations regarding the results of the procedure, understanding that temporal lifting improves appearance but does not completely transform it.
-
Non-smokers: Smoking can slow down the healing process and increase the risk of complications. Candidates who do not smoke or are willing to quit smoking before and after the operation will have the best chances for successful recovery.
-
Elastic and healthy skin: Having supple, elastic skin contributes to more effective and long-lasting lifting results.
-
Psychological stability: Emotional stability and realistic expectations are important for the patient’s psychological comfort after the procedure.
Why South Korea?
South Korea annually performs the most cosmetic procedures and operations in the world. Local doctors are considered the most educated and competitive in the world, as only 0.01% of all medical university graduates can become plastic surgeons. The equipment and medical technology in Korea are comparable in quality to the USA and Germany, placing it in the top 3 countries with the best technical equipment in clinics.
All anti-aging operations are performed in accredited clinics that have permission
to work with foreign patients and staff anesthesiologists. All surgeons operating on our patients have 15 to 30 years of experience, specialize in soft tissue operations, and perform no more than 2 operations per day. Fill out the form so that we can calculate the cost of treatment for you, conduct a preliminary consultation, and prepare a travel plan to South Korea for the operation.
How to prepare for a lifting operation in South Korea
-
Refrain from eating and drinking for 10 hours before the procedure. Take a shower.
-
Avoid taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen (including medications like Advil or Motrin), and other drugs that can increase the risk of heavy bleeding for 2 weeks before the surgery. Tylenol is only prohibited during the last 3 days before the operation.
-
Do not smoke, including hookahs and electronic cigarettes. Smoking reduces blood flow to the skin and can slow down the tissue healing process. If you smoke, your doctor will advise you to quit before the surgery. Some doctors refuse to perform the surgery on smokers due to the high risk of complications.
-
Review your medical history. Be prepared to answer questions about current and past illnesses, as well as any surgeries you have undergone. Tell about any medications you are taking or have taken recently. Please do not hide this information from the surgeon and coordinators.
-
Visit the surgeon for an examination and show them photos of the desired result.
-
If you had tests done less than a month ago, you can bring them with you. Otherwise, all necessary tests will be done in Korea.
-
Ask someone to drive you to the clinic or assist you after the surgery if you plan to arrive by car.
-
Place items near your bed that may be needed during rest, such as lip balm, water, a chocolate bar, or a mobile phone.
How the operation is performed
Before the operation, you will undergo at least 2 consultations with the surgeon and have tests done to gain access to the procedure. On the morning of the operation day, the surgeon applies a design to your face, answers questions, and hands you over to a medical coordinator for preparation. You will be taken to the toilet, asked about your well-being, and checked for the last time you ate and drank.
Then, you are escorted to the operating room, where you are helped to lie on the operating table, your hands and feet are secured to prevent involuntary movements during the surgery, and a catheter is inserted into your arm for medication and anesthesia.
After the anesthesiologist induces sleep, the surgeon begins the operation: several incisions are made with a scalpel – from the skin to the deep muscle layer (the incision line goes in the hair, so it will not be visible to others), the skin and soft tissues are lifted, and sutures are applied. In some cases, surgeons also perform canthoplasty – surgery to correct the outer corner of the eye.
After the operation, a special bandage is applied to the face, which helps protect the operation area from damage, holds the tissues together, and reduces swelling. The patient wakes up and is escorted to a ward for further recovery.
What to expect after the operation
After the operation, a translator or nurses wake you up and help you move to the ward. Most patients do not remember this moment and feel as if they woke up in a warm bed – that’s how anesthesia works.
In the first 10-20 minutes after waking up, you may feel chills, but this will pass quickly, and there is a warming mattress on your bed for comfort. Pain sensations may be present to some extent, though they are dulled by painkillers and drugs used during the operation. In addition to discomfort, you will feel facial swelling – this is normal, the body is regenerating.
Also, you may feel discomfort due to the compression bandage – many clients complain that it presses on the neck under the chin, you can adjust the bandage a bit or ask to put a gauze pad under it, but in no case should you remove it. It will only be on for three days, so patience is needed. You will stay in the clinic for a few more hours after the operation, with a catheter in your arm and medications administered. In the evening, the coordinator and nurses will check your condition. If you don’t have symptoms such as dizziness or nausea, you can prepare for discharge: get dressed, collect your medications, and post-operative recommendations.
After discharge, pain sensations may slightly intensify; be sure to put several pillows under your head to reduce swelling and take the prescribed medications containing pain relief. You may experience a slight headache, and your eyes or nose may swell; these are normal symptoms, do not be alarmed and continue to follow the rehabilitation rules. Remember that during the first days after the operation, it is forbidden to strain your eyes and wash your hair.
By the end of the week, you will look much better, try to walk as much as possible and continue to sleep in an elevated position. After 14 days, the surgeon will remove the stitches, and most of the swelling and bruises will subside, you will look almost normal and can return to everyday life.
